The ideal Tune Shop Technician for Bear Creek is a guest service focused individual with the ability to help create a positive, memorable experience for our guests. The successful team member will be able to work with their team as well as individually, have good communication skills, be detail oriented and foster the Bear Creek culture by focusing on our guests. This position will be an important member of the Rental team, ensuring proper mounting of ski and snowboard bindings, providing tune-ups and other equipment processes providing a safe ski and snowboard experience.
WHAT WE EXPECT FROM YOU:
- Ability to perform all aspects of rental technician position
- Excellent working knowledge of rental system
- Mount and test ski bindings
- Perform problem solving/ trouble shooting to help fix boot to binding complications
- Ability to use all tune shop equipment properly and safely
- Ability to use Vermont Calibrator to test ski bindings
- Perform and accurately record accident tests for ski patrol
- Properly fill out and file tuning work tickets
- Use the point of sale to process credit card charges
- Work with supervisor to ensure adherence to schedule for tuning and testing rental equipment
- Always maintain clean and efficient work environment
- Maintain a friendly, outgoing, and courteous attitude to provide excellent guest service to all guests and employees.
- Perform duties efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced environment
- Assist with rental returns
- Be responsible for Bear Creek tools and return to designated areas after use
WHAT WE EXPECT FROM ALL BCMR TEAM MEMBERS:
- Acknowledge all guests and respond promptly to their needs, however busy and whatever time of day. Ensure unresolved incidents are reported to Manager/Supervisor
- Familiarity with all hotel services/features and local attractions/activities to respond to guest inquiries accurately
- Contribute to the team's success by accomplishing tasks and assisting with projects as needed
- Maintain knowledge and compliance with departmental policies, service procedures, and standards
- Work as a team member to ensure our guests have the best possible experience
- Understand emergency procedures and be able to apply them when necessary
- Report any incidents, property damage or injuries immediately to Manager/Supervisor
- Attend department meetings and training sessions as necessary
- Other duties as assigned by Manager and/or Supervisor

- Comply with Bear Creek and Southern Management's policies and procedures
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Previous ski and snowboard tuning experience is preferred
- Mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity is necessary
- Ability to lift loads up to 50lbs regularly
- Ability to provide excellent guest service
- Ability to stand, lift, reach and bend for entire shift
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
- Availability during peak operating times, i.e.: weekends, holidays and special events
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Compute basic arithmetic and mathematical calculations
