WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
The ideal Camp Lifeguard for Bear Creek is a guest service focused individual with the ability to help create a positive, memorable experience for Mountain Camp guests. The successful team member will be able to work with their team as well as individually, have good communication skills, be detail oriented and foster the Bear Creek culture by focusing on our guests. This position will be an important member of the Camp team, helping to create an experience that promotes a healthy, safe and enjoyable camp experience that creates a lifetime of memories.
WHAT WE EXPECT FROM YOU:
- Provide general supervision and safety of patrons at any of the three Bear Creek water locations (The Hotel outdoor pool, The Hotel indoor pool and/or The Pond)
- Maintain a safe environment by preventing and responding to emergencies
- Ensure pool rules are followed and addressed accordingly
- Understand and implement emergency policies and procedures when necessary
- Report all incidents
- Be a positive role model for campers
- Be on time for scheduled shifts
- Make suggestions for improvement to your supervisor
- Follow all Bear Creek rules
- Maintain a positive attitude
- Maintain a respectable appearance in accordance with the Lifeguard dress code

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be 16 years of age by June 1 of the current year
- Lifeguard experience
- Experience working with children
- Have or be willing to obtain Act 153 Child Abuse Clearances (PSP, FBI if 18 or older & Child Abuse)
- Current Red Cross Deepwater Lifeguard Certification necessary
