The ideal Lift Attendant for Bear Creek is a guest service focused individual with the ability to help create a positive, memorable experience for our guests. The successful team member will be able to work with their team as well as individually, have good communication skills, be detail oriented and foster the Bear Creek culture by focusing on our guests. This position will be an important member of the Lifts team, as they are first team member in the department that guest sees establishing the guest service standards to be expected and are responsible for assisting in moving guests through the lift lines in a safe and efficient manner. The right person will help create an environment of enjoyment while guests are waiting as well as efficiently move guests along.
WHAT WE EXPECT FROM YOU:
- Provide a safe & enjoyable experience for our guests on the lifts
- Answering questions that guests may have about the resort
- Responsible for the scanning of guests lift tickets
- Snow removal from loading area
- Monitor the equipment to ensure that it is operating properly and report any mechanical problems immediately
- Knowledgeable of lift requirements including evacuation procedures in case of an emergency
- Greet the guests, anticipate their needs and provide information about the facilities and services
- Complete daily, weekly and monthly operator logs
- Work outside in all weather conditions and any time of day or night as needed
- Daily opening and closing procedures
- Monitor and ensure proper padding and fencing of obstacles
- Coordinate with other departments concerning lift operations needs and expectations
- Inform supervisor of any necessary repairs to equipment
WHAT WE EXPECT FROM ALL BCMR TEAM MEMBERS:
- Acknowledge all guests and respond promptly to their needs, however busy and whatever time of day. Ensure unresolved incidents are reported to Manager/Supervisor
- Familiarity with all hotel services/features and local attractions/activities to respond to guest inquiries accurately
- Contribute to the team's success by accomplishing tasks and assisting with projects as needed
- Maintain knowledge and compliance with departmental policies, service procedures, and standards
- Work as a team member to ensure our guests have the best possible experience
- Understand emergency procedures and be able to apply them when necessary
- Report any incidents, property damage or injuries immediately to Manager/Supervisor
- Attend department meetings and training sessions as necessary
- Other duties as assigned by Manager and/or Supervisor

- Comply with Bear Creek and Southern Management's policies and procedures
- Must be at least 16 years of age
- Guest service experience preferred
- Availability during peak operating times, i.e.: weekends, holidays and special events

- Able to work in a fast-paced environment which requires a significant amount of standing
- Exposed to extreme weather conditions
