WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
The ideal Tubing Operator for Bear Creek is a guest service focused individual with the ability to help create a positive, memorable experience for our guests. The successful team member will be able to work with their team as well as individually, have good communication skills, be detail oriented and foster the Bear Creek culture by focusing on our guests. This position will be an important member of the tubing team, providing a safe and enjoyable lift experience and creating the excitement of riding up the mountain in anticipation of getting off the lift and starting that thrilling downhill descent on a tube.
WHAT WE EXPECT FROM YOU:
- Provide a safe, enjoyable and efficient experience for our guests on the conveyor belt
- Greet the guests, anticipate their needs and provide information about the facilities and services
- Provide guests with rules for tube park
- Create an environment of enjoyment while guests wait
- Observe tubers, give verbal and nonverbal commands as needed
- Set up and tear down of tubing; daily opening and closing procedures
- Operate conveyor belt
- Responsible for guests going through the RFID
- Maintain the carpet decks
- Snow removal from loading area
- Knowledgeable of tubing requirements including evacuation procedures in case of an emergency
- Safe and orderly loading and unloading of the conveyor belt
- Monitor the equipment to ensure that it is operating properly and report to supervisor/shift leader any mechanical problems or necessary repairs immediately
- Execution of lift shut down and evacuation procedures in case of an emergency.
- Work outside in all weather conditions and any time of day or evening as needed
- Coordinate with supervisor/shift leader concerning tubing operations needs and expectations
- Quick to stop the carpet in case of emergency
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Guest service experience preferred
- Previous experience operating machinery a plus
- Availability during peak operating times, i.e.: weekends, holidays and special events
JOB KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
- Ability to reason, make decisions, and use independent judgment in various situations
- Excellent communication with guests and team members
- Friendly, outgoing, and courteous to all guests and employees
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift/move up to 50 lbs.
- Exposed to extreme weather conditions
- Extremely alert and aware at all times
